A beautiful metal 30 key anglo concertina from renowned maker Jeffries
With metal ends and metal buttons this concertina looks stunning. With original 6 fold bellows with the original papers.
This instrument has had an interesting life, based on markings internally. In 1920 it appears to have been repitched by 'Envoy Worthington' of Allerton, Bradford. Later on in its life the reed pans have been replaced with new custom carved ones, definitely made by a quality maker but they are not the original. Not all of the reeds are original either, but they are all in concert pitch, recently restored and playing well. The layout is standard Jeffries, but the drone key plays C/F so isn't really a drone key any more!
As a result of this interesting past the price is lower than you would normally expect, so this is an amazing opportunity to own a piece of angle concertina history.
